KIBO 121

Kibo121 is a boutique consultancy working on sustainability in the media technology sector.  They advise small to mid-sized organizations about what it takes to get on a sustainability pathway.  This includes implementing an action plan that will enable the organization to take meaningful steps towards a more sustainable business operation.

Barbara Lang, the principal and CEO of Kibo121, and I worked closely together in order to develop a logo that would represent both her brand as well as her personal interests

behind sustainability. We came to a conclusion of a logo that invokes the sun as the symbol of life and energy.  Using an italicized font style signifies movement and builds off of the energy from the sun.  And, of course, the green color expresses life.  All of these elements surround the name of the brand – Kibo121.  Kibo (KY-BO) is the largest of three craters on Mt. Kilimanjaro.  The number 121 denotes January 21, the date that Barbara summited the mountain, where she observed the famous melting glacier.

Next step retirement
& insurance

Next Step is, as stated on their website, a boutique investment consulting firm focused on meeting the needs of employers and their employees. They are specialists in retirement plan consulting, supplemental executive savings plans, specialized insurance for owners/C-suite executives and retirement goal setting for individuals.

In 2019, Next Step reached out to me to create a professional logo to be used. The logo I created for them was made on photoshop and now can be seen at their office in the San Fransisco Bay Area as well as on their website.

Below you can see the logo design I created.

Daydream sports

DayDream Sports, now rebranded to DoubleDrive Sports, is a new online sports betting website with a focus on team performances rather than individual players. It provides the opportunity to put money on different sports teams, including football and basketball with other sport games being built. Even though DayDream has rebranded, their current logo is heavily influenced by the design I originally made.

DoubleDrive is no longer an active company, however, in 2018 when the business was still growing I was hired to design their logo. My design could be seen on their website as well as their social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.

NIck von egypt soccer academy

The Nick VonEgypt Soccer Academy is an individual business run by an ex-semi professional soccer player, Nick VonEgypt. Nick's main focus is on training local kids to improve their technical soccer skills through one on one pratice sessions. In addition to his personal training, Nick also runs summer soccer camps.

Personally, Nick used to train me and he was aware of previous graphic design work I had done. Nick hired me to create posters to advertise his summer camps as well as personal training.

Below is a more recently made poster and an example for the work I did for him.

PRockter design
& rise and shine

Prockter Design is a manufacturer and distributer of toys made for children with disabilities. Prockter Design owns another company called "Rise And Shine" who, as stated on their website, are dedicated to creating engaging adapted toys and switches for those with special needs, regardless of age or ability level. Their products are designed to stimulate senses in order to enhance new and existing skills all while having fun.

Prockter Design is a family-run business, so I was tasked with creating a logo as well as poster advertisements for Rise and Shine. My logo design can be found at the toy production workshop in Connecticuit and my poster was displayed on Rise and Shine's website as well as social media platforms.

COLLEGE SPORTS
COMMITMENTS

As I attempt to expand my portfolio as well as my skillset when it comes to creating quality pieces of graphic design art, I find myself gravitating towards the sport world. With sports, more specifically soccer, being such a huge part of my life, I felt it was only natural to combine my love for arts and athletics. With that in mind, I began to brand myself under the "KPS Design" name and nudge my way into the sport edit world.

I first started by creating fun edits on my computer for my favorite MLS and NFL team (as seen in the KPS Design section). However, I wanted to push myself and make art worthy of being posted by an actual athlete for a professional use, rather than simply just for recreational purposes. And so, a new chapter in my graphic design career started with college commitment edits.

Currently pictured are two of my favorite edits, both for lacrosse, ironically a sport I know very little about. I am hoping to continue to create more commitment edits and help others announce their impressive athletic abilities through my artwork. In addition, I am also aiming to expand my palette by making art for various sports, rather than sticking with mostly soccer and the occasional lacrosse edit.

Pictured below is a KPS Design commitment edit for the Anna Maria soccer team.
